Visa

Hi,

I know someone in Algeria and we want to meet each other. However, I don't feel safe to go there alone to meet someone I haven't met yet. I also known him only for a month. However, I feel like I can trust him...I'm just being careful...

I've asked him to come to Canada or to a neutral country like France but he said he couldn't come. He said they wouldn't give him a visa. I don't know why and I've been looking online to find others in similar situation...not much that I could find. If it's inappropriate to ask here then I apologize. I desperately want to know and understand. He's not explaining much...If he's being truthful, then I will feel safer going to him

Another question...how easy is it for me to get a visa with his invitation letter?

I've heard some negative things about Algeria so I'm scared...I know that's a one side view so that's why I keep searching for more information, and I'm glad I've found this forum :)

I'm only concerned for my safety. For one thing, he could turns out to be a liar and that would put me in a huge trouble. Like I said, I feel like I can trust him...I just want to keep my mind open to the possibility that he's not who he claims to be.

Can someone provides me with some information that will help me making my decision? I told him I could see him in 4 months but ever since I found out the complications I had a second thought.

If neither he nor I could see either, then it would be pointless to continue our relationship...It's so difficult...

Thanks, though, for reading this. Any help is appreciated :)
