entry level work

Would there be any entry level work available and easy to find? I am a 19 year old male from New York who is taking time off from school to live and work abroad. I have experience in the restaurant / service industry, and currently work at two comedy clubs. I am not looking for the highest standard of living (obviously) as I am not a college graduate... but was wondering if I would be able to sustain a hard working, yet laid back life here. I hope this is not a laughable topic to many of you experienced expats, and someone will be able to give me some information, or even just some encouraging words.

thanks,
Ryan
