US Credit Cards No Longer Accepted

Hello friends,
My husband and I have now been here since May of this year, and suddenly, our Chase credit cards are no longer accepted now in two different lines of supermarkets. We've been shopping with them with no problem until DIA supermarkets first impeded the use of my card first. We then started using my husbands card. He was impeded too after the first use. So, we started shopping at Express supermarkets. Again since yesterday, neither of our US credit cards are accepted anymore. Any idea what is going on or can we solve this problem? Is the Argentine Government preventing us from using our foreign cards here?? Any clue from anyone? THANK YOU ALL!
