Looking at moving to Mendoza

I've lived in the United States my whole life. I've never even been out of the country, nor have my wife or children. But I recently realized I don't feel free in this country, anymore. I feel like our language is policed, our families are policed, our works are policed. Just this year, the schools in my town added buzzers to the front doors. Parents have to be buzzed into the school, and even then are not allowed beyond the office and into the building where our children are being educated.

I've discussed it with my wife, and we've done some research, and it looks like Mendoza may be the perfect place for us. I've worked online before, and am interviewing for a job teaching English, online, tomorrow. I have a degree in English, so I feel I would have no problem finding work, ideally online, getting paid in USD. My Spanish is poor, but I feel I know enough that I can be roughly conversant in it by the time we arrive.

Our hope is to be able to move there by the end of summer (our summer/July or August) 2019. It's a terrifying and daunting prospect, though, so I'd love to connect with any US expats already living in the area for advice and guidance. Thank you.
