Lost Passport

Hello -

US citizen here (and argentina - dual)..I just traveled in from the states yesterday and I cannot find my US passport anywhere. I have my argentina one but they won't let me back IN to the US without a US passport so has anyone gone through the expedited passport process at the US embassy? If so, how quickly did you get it?
