Want to live in Oz!

Hello! I am a 20 year old girl from the USA. My fiance & I are itching to live in Australia. We like to live on the 'wild side' and don't agree with America as far as polotics & economics go, and Australia is a beautiful country, so there you have it, we have decided that is where we would like our permanent residence to be.

Now is the tricky part. I've been looking into this for awhile now but it all still seems so displaced. Is there anybody willing to help us along our way with figuring out what all we need to do? Here are our current stats -

Both fully employed but NOT in an occupation on the SOL.

Both ready & financially able to attend college for an associates for an occupation on the SOL.

I understand we would most likely qualify for the Skilled Workers Visa after we complete our college degrees. We're not big city people, & would like to live somewhere scarcely populated, but populated enough to provide jobs for us.

We are open to anything, any advice helps (even advice on what degree you would recommend, haha). I am thinking about going to cosmetology school & doing an apprenticeship for hairstyling & piercing. It is inexpensive & not time consuming, and is on the SOL list, BUT am I actually going to find a decent paying job in this field in Oz.

This is going to be atleast a 3 year project, & I could really use an experienced mentor! Feel free to email me at

[email protected] if you'd like to help me out!

Thanks! Jewell & Zachary.
