desperate to leave the uk

hello, i have a goal to move to the bahamas by the end of 2010. I have 2 young sons and 2 dogs. I have a couple of questions (well probably hundreds) and i was wondering if anyone could help.

1, how long can you stay on a visiter permit before buying a property?
2, does anyone know the regulations of bringing dogs into the bahamas?
3, if you have residential status do you have to send the kids to school or can you home school? as that is what they will do in UK.
4, looking at the exuma area, does anyone know a site to buy a boat?
