Self employed work in Out Islands

Hi, I want to move to an Out Island and be able to sell my art and teach Pilates and massage. I love the Bahamas and would like to live there but finding it hard to get information on whether I can live there and have a studio for my art and Pilates. I was thinking of the Abacos or Eleuthera and would appreciate any feedback from members who know about being self employed in the Bahamas. I have Canadian and UK citizenship. I would like to buy a small cottage or lot and build a simple, self sufficient cottage so any information on that would be gratefully received too. Thanks
