Moving from Virginia to Freeport

I am married to a Bahamian citizen and we will be moving to Freeport with the next year. I would love to hear from anyone that has done this move recently. Also, would love to hear from those that care to share information that might make this planning less stressful. I am particularly interested in which banking institution folks use. I will be getting my monthly $$ from the US Govt and cannot decided where my bank should be. I am also trying to figure out what and how to move our personal belongings. Any adivce would be greatly appreciated!!
