Question!... My boyfriend is currently outside of the Bahamas (although a resident so you would think he would have all the details... but its been a while since he has been) lol... but he is fixing up his old car for me to drive when I am down there because we figure its cheaper than me renting cars. He said he has to pay roughly a 55% tariff on the engine he is putting on the boat from Miami but my question is what all will I need to get the license/registration validated once the car is running? He owns the car but since he cannot make it to the Bahamas due to work, I will have to fly down and get it all registered. Can I register the car without him present or will he have to complete a Bill of Sale showing me as the owner first? How much does the licensing cost, what all will I need, and I assume insurance is required? Any idea how much insurance costs? I am only down there about two to three months total out of the year- so is all of this really necessary or can you get away without registering the vehicle? I guess I would just want the cheapest insurance as possible as we would keep the car at his mothers house when not in use?
Thanks!!
Thanks!!
