PAYING CUSTOMS DUTY IN NASSAU

Hello, we are relocating to Nassau and apparently we are taxed on our used kitchenware such as pots, glasses, dishes, and utensils. All of these are high end items that we paid a lot for but we have used them for over 2 years. We still have the original boxes that are very useful for shipping( saving space and protection) Would packing these items in the original boxes trigger them as new or even trigger the brand name and increase the value, naturally resulting in us paying higher taxes? Your feedback would be very much appreciated, Thanks.
