Hi everybody,
I have been offered a temporary position in the Bahamas for 2 years and I've got no clue how to decide this. I've never been to the Bahamas, and only the Caribbean once about 15 years ago.
I have about a million questions that will help me make my decision.
Housing costs seem crazy high, but where is a good place to live - my job will be in town, closer to the eastern side of the island? (No kids, no schools).
I have read that crime is high -- is it really that dangerous -- I have read that I shouldn't jog or go places alone. I am not an alarmist, but since I may be there as a woman alone, I don't want to be stuck or afraid.
Everything will have to be arranged site unseen so I need trustworthy sources for rentals, what to do about a car, etc., so its a great adventure instead of a nightmare.
