Considering job promotion with relocation to Nassau

Hi everyone!

I recently found out that I could take a promotion within my company and relocate to Nassau. I currently live in Houston, TX (been here 2 years), originally from Iowa, so being homesick and out of my element is not really a problem for me. I have never been to the Bahamas, I've heard it's expensive...what kind of obstacles would I face with this relocation. Work permit? Rent? Transportation? Any advice and tips are appreciated. Thanks!
