Winter get away in the bahamas

I am looking to spend 2-3 months Jan-March in the bahamas. My wife just passed from a courageous battle with colon cancer and I need to bring our beloved golden retriever. Not sure which islands would be best. I've been to Grand Bahama Island (Pelican Point) east end several times.
