Veterinary tech hoping to move.

Hello, I am from Florida and am looking into moving to the Bahamas with my husband. I am a veterinary technician of 10 years and he has done air conditioning for about the same. I do not have a degree but we do not require them here. I have several questions that I hope you can answer.

1. Is there a lot of demand for vet techs there? Do you require a degree? I have a great reference from the doctor who trained me and I have always worked for.

2. Is air conditioning a large field there? My husband is certified in several ways here for that.

3. What is the house rental situation there? Is there a lot of availability of regular homes vs. large ones/vacation rentals? I am from Port Orange and understand there can be a big difference between a home on the beach vs. inland. I know it may be hard since I'm not Specifying an area.

4. I have dealt with taking dogs back and forth at work but am not sure about the stance on birds and cats?

Is there any advice that you feel is crucial to know prior to moving?

We do not have any children and probably will not. So we are not worried about schools and such. We are only 28 and 33 and I wonder what it's like for our age range? I have traveled there a few times but not in several years.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
