My wife and I are thinking of moving to avoid heavy taxes in the US and we are looking at Panama and the Bahamas. I will only be working with US companies and have to fly back once a month to the States (so Bahamas would be ideal for quick trips) So here I have a few questions.
What is internet service like and what does it cost?
If we are looking at an annual residency will we have to purchase a house or could we rent?
Do US expats still get offered the 102,000 exemption from the US government on US taxes ?
Does Amazon ship to the Bahamas?
We own a small computer consulting business and it is a sole proprietorship as a married couple. We would like to keep it and maybe make it an offshore business or LLC.
What is healthcare like there? What is the best hospital? What type of insurance to expats have there? Is it expensive with pre existing conditions?
Lastly, what is the safest part of the island to live?
