Owning in Bahamas-Only Living In During Winter

Hello everyone,

I am just curious for those "Snowbirds" that own homes (not condos) in Bahamas, what you do to maintain/monitor your home while living back in the states/Canada during the other 5-6 months a year.

We are looking to purchase something for the winters, but can't decide on a home or condo.
