Introduce Yourself

Hi, I am James Rhodes, Canada, Toronto, 55 years old. Am a tax dispute lawyer. Taking a job with DIR in Nassau. Looking to move in November or December this year. In the process of searching rentals. Probably live in Cable Beach area. Although single, I hear the best recommendation is to get an extra bedroom or two for visitors ;).

Two questions. I haven't research the import duty on moving personal effects here. Can anyone point me to a guidebook on it. Like is it better to bring in stuff in a suitcase or a shipping container. I really don't have much to being. Most prized position will be PS5 :).

Second question, none of the rentals mention utilities, and whether they are included or not. I am assuming the default is that they are not included. Aside from emailing the realtors each time is there a way people guestimate what a rental would cost in utility? I am assuming it's all electricity based on AC that creates the major cost - unlike gas in Canada to heat homes throughout winter.
Thx in Advance
James
