looking to move

i am looking to move to belgium with my wife and (possibly child - we are planning now) next september to study my masters.

can someone give me an up to date living cost assessment. i would like to live in brussels, but not necessarily in the centre. this is due to the location of sint lukas university.

i am british and my wife is korean, and neither of us will be working.

if possible, please can you provide me with the following information:

average rental 1/2 bedroom apartment

food bill per month (1 person)

electric / heating / gas

insurance (if necessary)

cost of 20 minute bus ride

any other costs that could be significant.

also, if anyone has any knowledge of how to get a job teaching english part time, that would be appreciated. i have 5 years experience teaching ESL and have a valid TOEFL certificate, and should have a CELTA by the time I arrive.

many thank in advance.

martyn
