Self Employed, want to rent

Hey guys,

I am going to be moving to Belgium in April! Antwerp is where I'll be settling.

I have a quick question. I have been told a few times that I will need to provide proof of income before I am allowed to rent an apartment.

I am self employed, and so do not have any official documents (payslips) to show.

Will it be acceptable to show invoices to my clients, or bank statements?
Anyone had this problem before?

Thanks!

Joel
