Family just kidnapped in Belize

Our family (a husband/wife couple) was just kidnapped in Progresso, Belize.

Five minutes ago we received a single voicemail and have no contact with them. They are not taken to ransom, we believe they took them to steal from them and are not sure if they will survive subsequent to the theft.

We are also not certain whether an organized ring like this could have ties within the local police and for that reason (and not speaking fluent Spanish) we have not yet contacted the Progresso Police.

The first thing that came to mind was to immediately search for a security firm near Progresso, in hopes I could hire them to investigate and/or extract our two family members. I found nothing, but I did turn-up some forums.

I quickly registered in hopes someone out there might be able to send some ideas of who to contact in a situation like this. Or whether you're familiar with security firms, we could call, etc.

Any insight at all would be greatly appreciated. I'm sorry to cut this short but I am going to search for other options now.
