Know who you are dealing with

There are many wolves out there acting as sheep or the herd dog. Be very careful who you deal with or let in on your deals. Buying property in Belize like any other place requires investigation, a seller, with or without a realtor and probably an attorney after the fact. Parties other than that are looking for a piece of your financial pie. Make sure the involved parties live in Belize not just know something about Belize. Or have just been there a few times. For example what can a consultant do that your realtor or attorney cannot do? Savvy business folks know all of this. If you have enough money to talk about buying properties in Belize don't think the wolves don't know you are here. Just be careful. Personal referrals are mandatory for success in my book. As always the fewer the people involved in your business the better the process will be. I use attorneys to write contracts and maybe some advice. If you want the waters muddied hire them before the purchase so they can have a 50 page earnest money agreement drawn... YIKES
