Land surveys

Are there any land owners on here who have recently built and/or cleared in the Secret Beach area, Ambergris Caye? I'm wondering about the accuracy of the existing survey markers, and if you went to the trouble of obtaining a new survey before your build. The Department of Lands and Surveys doesn't seem to exist.
