Business Unit Manager - Employment Vacancy

Title: Business Unit Manager

Salary: 4500 USD per month depending on experience + accommodation
Location: Fortaleza, CE (Brazil)

Introduction: Our client is an Italian group dedicated to the development of innovative polymeric formulations and products, both thermoplastic and thermosetting, and to the design of composite and nanocomposite polymeric materials.

The Business Unit Manager will be based in Brazil. The successful candidate will speak English and Portuguese and will have good expertise in sales and financing.

Responsibilities:
-To set up the new company
-To develop the group’s Brazilian arm
-To launch the Brazilian company’s sales and identify new opportunities
-To build and maintain strong relationships with clients
-To coordinate marketing & sales
-To coordinate purchasing and logistics
-To ensure quality standards are maintained across all client projects
-To be accountable for the profitability of new business
-To prepare financial reporting
-To prepare forecasts and manage appropriate resources
-To lead, coordinate and motivate staff to fulfil their potential
-To undertake line management responsibilities

Managing multiple projects, the successful applicant will be expected to:
-Effectively manage other members of the project team
-Effectively manage his/her own time to ensure project milestones are achieved within budgets
-Maintain contact with clients and provide regular updates through meetings and teleconference
-Liaise with and report back to the Italian and US offices on a regular basis

Applicant requirements:

-Degree in business administration (or equivalent)
-Experience in the field of polymers / polymeric (nano)composites and their industrial processing and uses
-Fluency in English and Portuguese
-Good communication and IT skills
-High degree of autonomy
-Experience in selling technically demanding products
-Strong financial acumen
-Experience in drafting agreements or contracts would be appreciated
-Availability to travel
