Considering moving to Floripa

My husband and I live in London. He is Brazilian (from Santa Catarina) and I am English. Although we have a nice life here, we are considering moving to Brazil perhaps sometime in the next few years mainly because he misses home, and also because it would be an adventure. I have good Portuguese, although I've never used Portuguese at work - he reassures me that I would improve to a business level very quickly. I am trying to think about what I would do over there. My work experience is 5 years at a large American investment bank and now an Asset Management firm, where I am a trader. As far as I can see, there aren't any investment banks or anything similar in Florianopolis... so I am starting to think that teaching English is my best bet, although I think in order to make good money doing this we would need to start our own school. Any thoughts/ opinions are very welcome! I am also interested in people's thought on moving to that part of Brazil and about the reality of living in Brazil as a foreigner (in particular, a Brit). Thanks, Isabel.
