Miami Native, been to Brasil as only a tourist in the days of Pan Am, back in the '80's. Not your typical American. Speak fluent Spanish, but now learning Brazilian Ptgs.
Seeking advice from people familiar with the ES Coast for a trip I'm planning, from Campos dos Goytacazes (RJ) TO Vitoria ES, including Guarapari, Vila Velha (and any other villages you may know).
Am looking for the following info in your posts:
-How these areas are effected by mudslides as a life factor
-Prefer a microclimate that's subtropical (vs tropical) in Summer months (i.e. milder, dryer)
-Prefer smaller cities with good services or villages outside a major one
-Local produced food, seafood; great community markets
-Any of these areas attracting people fleeing the complications of the larger cities like Florianópolis?
-Expat communities?
