Moving to Brazil

Hi All,
I'm Australian and my husband is Brazilian, we are living in Sydney and trying to make it work..but its tough. I have a good job (in Marketing) here but my husband has been unemployed and trying very hard to find a job in his field for over a year.
I support him a lot and have said that if it is too hard for us to stay here, we are better to go and try living near his family in Brazil. I have been learning portuguese since we met and am preparing myself for the move, I am confident that once I get to a better level I would embrace the challenge and move there with him.
We have established a time frame now of how long we will keep doing this, in 6 months if he has not found a job we are planning to move to his city in Brazil: Ribeirao Preto.
As we married in Australia, I am curious to know how long it would take for me to get a visa to live and work there? While i know it would take me a while to get into my field of Marketing there, I would work as a Teacher or something in the mean time to earn some money. I would appreciate any advice on this!
Thank you :)
