Expatriation in Brazil: Research

Dear Expat Exchange members:

As a doctoral student at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, I am conducting my dissertation research on expatriation and learning. The purpose of this study is to explore cross-cultural learning experienced by U.S. expatriates on assignments for multinational corporations (MNC) in Brazil. This study will focus on how participants make meaning of their international assignment experience to develop cross-cultural learning. Please note that participants’ names and the names of their organizations will not be shared.

Participants should be U.S. American women or men of any age above 21, who have worked or are working in Brazil for multinational corporations (MNCs). The international assignment duration needs to have been between 6 and 18 months, and participants need to have started their international assignment no longer than five years ago.

Please email me at [email protected] if you are interested in participating.

Respectfully,

Leila Valoura.
