Hi all, a newbie's first post here.
I am interested i purchasing property in Brazil and I heard that there is no "escrow" process that is similar to how real estate transactions are done in the US. Typically the buyer wires money directly to the seller and that makes me quite nervous. On top of that, I do not speak Portuguese so there is a language barrier too.
I wonder if anyone has gone through a real estate purchase would be kind enough to share their experiences and tips? Also, if anyone successfully used an attorney or international escrow firm to conduct their real estate purchase, I'd love to know which firm(s) you used and what was the experience like. Any help will be appreciated!
