Hi, I'm 53, a UK citzen who has lived out of the UK for 13yrs. I am extremely interested in coming to Bulgaria and looking at a lifestyle choice (new beginning). However, I am a bit confused as to what I need to do to secure a long- term residency.
Some websites state 'Residence Certificate' with expectancies being - Employed/self employed.
Financial resources/medical to cover expenses.
Enrolled in study.
Others mention D Type Visa.
I have some savings which if managed will cover house purchase and surviving until I'm 60 if all goes well, then I can access a small pension form Australia at 60.
Another part of application, this time for permanence, requires National Insurance contributions proof, which does not exist in Australia.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Regards Nick
