New to the idea

So I have only recently been playing with the idea of buying property in Bulgaria.

So I do have a few questions... roughly what are the hidden costs such as legitimate legal fees such as solicitors etc that I will need to pay on top of buying the property? Also do you have any recommendations on which companies to use?

Also are these villages with cheap properties classed as bad areas in Bulgaria? Am not against areas with high poverty as that is in every country but don't want to invest in a house too only be intimidated by the area or worry too much about my belongings when I return to the UK.

Also has anyone had any experience with buying these properties, doing them up to a high standard and renting them out to the locals? I have considered the idea of buying more than one. One for myself and possibly one to rent out as they are so cheap. Could you make much if any profit at all via renting?

I have seen a few online that have took my fancy in the Silistra, Popina area on a site called www.cheap-bulgarian-house.co.uk but still trying to find out if this is a trusted company to go through.
