My husband, our 4 year old son and I are considering immigrating to Canada. My husband works in IT/Business Recovery and I am not sure how hard/easy it is to get a job like this in Canada. Ideally we would like to move to Vancouver (I have an Uncle there) but it would seem that the East Coast has better employment opportunities and a cheaper housing market. We are going to apply for our residency under skilled worker class but in the meantime thought it may be best to obtain a job and a temporary working permit. My real worry is that it is a case of the grass is always greener and that if we move there we will be unhappy and find that crime, medical care, lifestlye etc are no better than the UK. Can anybody give me any advice on moving or how they found the whole process? Sorry if I sound negative but I'm a worrier by nature!!!
