moving as a musician

Hi-

I'm seriously looking at a move to Canada, most likely Toronto. I am a freelance musician and teacher, and hope to continue (and be even more successful) in this. However, while looking at the application for immigrating as a skilled worker (I have taken sample tests and passed them), I realized that it may be somewhat difficult to prove my position, as the music field isn't exactly "full-time"- we work at random times, for lots of different people. Does anyone have any advice?

I could apply as a biologist/other scientist, as I had a job at a military base in the US as an environmental engineering intern. It's almost been 10 years since then, though, so I'd have to apply soon so that I could include it, and that job was intermittent due to school. I do have at least a year's worth of work experience in the environmental field from all jobs combined.
