Do I need a Visa?

I have a boyfriend in Vancouver, BC that I visit months out of the year. I have a consulting business in the US and all of my clients are US based. All of my income are from outside Canada. Do I need a Visa to work in Canada while visiting my boyfriend? All my work will be done via email, phone, skype and at no point will I enter the Canadian work force.
