looking at moving to Canada.

Hi, I am 21 year old guy from the United Kingdom. I have been living all over the world, and now currently residing in Germany. It has come to my attention that Canada is looking for skilled trade workers. I Have worked in the service industry since i was 17 in well known chains and 5star restaurants. But this is not what I initially want to pursue, over the past year in Germany i have fallen in love with renovating houses. After finding something I am passionate about I decided I want to get on an apprenticeship, but seeing as I could move back to United Kingdom to do this, it is not something I want to do. I am saying this because what is the point in paying for training and finishing and having no job prospects. Long story short can anyone give me advice for someone in my situation. I am looking to see if I could an international person move to Canada on apprenticeship scheme ? just the basics you would think someone like me would need to know. cheers (also i attended a Canadian International School in Singapore if that helps too.)
