Moving to Alberta

Hello! My husband was offered a job in Alberta, and I work for an international company and would like to transfer (a district employee in Alberta is excited about me coming up!). I am getting conflicting information on being a citizen. My HR department is telling emt hat I need to have a work visa and have dual citizenship before I can transfer. This seems crazy as it take 3-4 years of living in Canada to apply for citizenship?!? Has anyone else done, this? We have our appointment today to being the express entry paperwork and interviews. Just feeling crazy as this is harder to understand than I thought it would be!
