Husband Transferring to Toronto Office

Hi all,

My husband may be transferring from his New York office to the Toronto office. I was hoping to do my job in NYC remotely but that may not happen. How difficult is it for an American to find a job in Canada? I work in the area of communications, internal communications specifically. Would I qualify for a work permit? Thanks!
