Actress moving to Canada

Hello. My name is Alexis and I came here looking for some advice. I am an actress and am beginning to look for representation in Canada. If it all works out, I would have an agent in Toronto soon. my plans would be to move to Toronto to be closer to my agent and get work in Canada. As everyone knows, acting isn't a stable job you work 5 days a week so I would have no proof of employment to apply for a work permit. I was wondering if anyone had any advice for me when it comes to moving to Toronto and what my steps should be regarding a work permit, living there, or becoming a temporary or permanent resident.
