Moving to Montreal in the next week. Super overwhelmed. Have some questions

I'm moving from Boston to Montreal.

Will I need to get all my credit cards canceled and reapply for Canadian credit cards?

If my phone works and doesn't charge roaming in Canada (I'm on t-mobile) can I just not do anything and continue to use it as usual?

What's the process like moving all your stuff across the border? You need a list of all your possessions and how much they are worth?

I was reading you need to have your mattress professionally cleaned and then get a letter from the cleaner stating as much. Is that accurate? That seems almost like more trouble than it is worth. Would it be better just to sell out mattress and get a new one when we arrive?

Would we not be able to take our liquor? We've been building up a little bar over the years (maybe 12-15 bottles). All the bottles are open and probably half full but we've got more than a couple bottles worth if you were to combine them. Does the alcohol prohibition only apply to unopened bottles?

Are there places/areas to avoid living in Montreal? Bad parts of town? Sketchy places? Dangerous place?

If you were looking to rent a parking space full time in the city (like if you had an apartment and needed a place to keep your car) roughly how much per month would something like that cost?

I'm hoping to start learning French but that'll not happen quickly. Can you get around pretty well with just English in Montreal?

Where do Montreal residents look for apartment listings? I found padmapper and zumper. Are those the best? Are there any other good sites to search for house/apartment/condo listings?

Thanks so much!!
