Health Insurance for Children of Returned Citizens

Hi all, an important question:

My husband is a Chilean citizen whom has been living in the U.S. for 20 years. We just recently arrived in Chile to stay, and have two children, 10 and 12 years old. We have medical insurance through my previous employment until the end of the month. What are the requirements for acquiring medical insurance here in Chile? Do we have to wait until we apply for residency (me and the kids), or can we apply right away? I know my husband can apply right away since he is still a citizen. What about the rest of us?
