Emigrating with a small family

Hi. My wife and I are considering moving to Santiago in Chile. She is a teacher here in the UK and is considering applying for jobs at expat schools whilst I am a police officer and without Spanish am thinking about training in tefl to be able to teach also. We have a 6 year old daughter. I am unable to find any information regarding similar situations and was wondering anyone had any advice. Initially we were thinking about 2 years with a view to staying longer. I'm after information about everything - cost of living, salaries, standards of housing and prices etc. Hope you can help. Thanks
