I understand it is hard to open a bank account in Chile until you have been there for two years. I also understand there are ATM fees with normal banks. I have a bank account with USAA (military bank) which I have kept over the years. Somewhere I read that it works in Chile, and that there are no ATM fees. Is there a better bank than USAA? Someone recommended Charles Schwab, but I am not familiar with that. Thanks.
