DHL vs. FedEx

Hello all. Is it just me, or does it seem like there are always extra charges when shipping via FedEx? Because when I ship DHL, it comes right to my door, and I never pay extra. And when they ship FedEx, there are always many papers to sign, and lots of extra charges. Or is it just me?
