moving

Hello
My wife and I will be moving from Beijing to the UK (Birmingham) sometime in the new year.
I estimate we have more than 100kg of stuff we would like to take with us. (mainly clothes and houshold items, that sort of thing) obviasly this way exceeds the airline weight limit. As far as I know the fees for excess baggage is $10 per kilo.
So my question is how can i get the stuff to england cheper than this.
I would guess the answer is shipping but i havn't got a clue as to how to go about doing this.
Any help or other idears would be hugely apreciated.
Thanks
