China Summer Camp 2008 Opens in Shanghai (tour+cultural exploration) for worldwide participants aged from 7 to 25!
China, one of the world's greatest civilizations, has a history of more than 5000 years. People from around the world have been enthralled and enticed by the mystique of this unique culture. A visit to China is an opportunity to experience the cultural diversity and grandeur of the world's most populous country. China is growing faster than any other country, so isn't it time you take a visit to this great culture and magnificent history?

For years, MandarinRocks has successfully hosted summer programs for primary school, middle school and college students. Our program offers a strong emphasis for you to build a solid foundation to understand the Chinese culture and language and at the same time enjoy activities and sports.

Our program is not only an academic in-class learning experience but also a multi-city travel course and entertain program. The program is a perfect balance between study, leisure and travel. While it is necessary to learn Chinese in a classroom setting, our program helps you apply it to the everyday environment in China. With our great management, your schedule will be well organized with a perfect balance of courses, sports, activities and cultural visits. Every weekend you will have the opportunity to get an excursion to a different city of China.

Major program components
*Language course
Intensive Chinese course: 20 lessons every week in the morning from Monday to Friday. As the leading Chinese language school in Shanghai, Mandarinrocks is able to provide premium courses by utilizing unique teaching methodology and a carefully selected faculty with rich experience in teens and adults teaching. Listening, speaking, reading and writing abilities are all integrated in the class to develop and improve students overall language skills. Rich Chinese historical and cultural knowledge are incorporated into the course. The teaching contents are customized to different age groups.

*Activities
A minimum of five afternoon or evening activities are taken from Monday to Friday each week. They include team building activities like crossing country, dragon boat racing, sports activities like rock climbing, ice skating, martial arts, ping pong, cultural workshops like calligraphy, ink-water painting, paper cut and other relaxing activities like watching acrobatics show, city tour, barbeque night, etc. Special activities are designed to different age groups.

*Culture excursions
Excursions to neighboring towns or cities are organized every weekend to enrich students experience. For a complete 6 week program, students will visit Hangzhou, Suzhou, Zhouzhuang, Qingpu, Nanjing, five of the most famous resorts in East China region.

*Accommodation
Students will be lodged in hotels on campus. It's safeguarded by 24/7 onsite security with 24/7 medical doctors and emergency support. Laundry service is provided once every week. 3 meals, snack, drinking water is provided daily. Our camp counselor stays with the students during evenings and weekends throughout the whole program to take care of everything.
