Hi,
I currently live in London and work in IT and have done for 3 years. I'm soon to turn 25 and need some adventure in my life, I don’t want to just pack-up and go off travelling I’d rather try and move to a country where I can soak up the culture and learn the language. I spent some time in Peru last year and got a taste for SA, and I’ve heard great things about Colombia.
I’m currently taking Spanish lessons and thought it best if I take lessons as soon as I get out there. What I’d like to know is can I book a one way ticket and then travel around the country for a bit deciding where to take Spanish lessons and then apply for my student visa, or do I definitely need a visa with a one way ticket?
Also are there jobs available in the IT industry, not sure if big corporations work out of Colombia?
I’m not being lazy and posting on here hoping to have all my Qs and probs sorted I’ve done plenty of my own research online etc but just saw this forum today. I’ve also been to the Colombian Consulate in London but it was carnage in there and they just said book a Spanish course online, thing is it looks expensive online and I bet it would be cheaper for me to find and book once I get out there.
Thank you so all very much for your time and any kind of advice would be greatly appreciated.
Kind Regards,
Jason
