Opportunities for an IT Professional in Barranquilla?

Hey guys and gals. I'm looking for some feedback. I'm married to a Colombian from Barranquilla and we're thinking about perhaps relocating to Barranquilla after my son graduates high school next year and goes off to college. I've worked in the IT field for the better part of the last 20 yrs. I've done everything from help desk support to desktop support to server administration and even IT Management. I'm Microsoft certified as well. Any feedback on what I could expect as far as demand for someone with my experience and compensation? Would I be better off starting an Internet cafe or something like that? I'm very familiar with Colombia and the culture been there many times but never thought about working there.
