Finally moving to Ibague Colombia

I have been planning to move for Colombia for the last 3 years. I finally made the decision to leave the US (from California) to Ibague in Feb. I just need a car in Colombia and have personal belonging I would like to bring with me. I came to the conclusion it might be easier to bring all my belongings and drive to Colombia but maybe I cant bring in a used Car into Colombia.etc

I have heard if you are a Colombian resident you can move to Colombia and bring certain personal belongings and a used car I am married to a Colombian who is in Colombia and I have a Spouse Resident Visa with Cedula de extrangeria Colobmian Drivers Lic etc..

How is the best may to move to Colombia and get a car. (In Colombia they are rather expensive) How do you move? I have been going to Colobmia for the last 3 years twice a year and trying to move with my carry on and 2 checked bags just not enough...
