In response to many issues and problems encountered by expats to get things done rendered out of reach by red tape and hassles (such as opening a bank account), I offered the opinion that connections were everything, everywhere. "It's impossible to open a Colombian bank account..." Not!
After facilitating all details relating to our purchase of a finca in El Retiro, our lawyer (Dra. Sandra Serna) made a quick phone call, then escorted us to the manager of the BanColombia in Rincon Oviedo and, after waiting merely for endless data input, we walked out with our new Colombian bank account. Nothing could be easier!!
Without this perfect connection, we would have faced untold problems and frustrations.
Our move to Antioquia department is set for December!
