I am looking into taking a two week trip to colombia around september or october. i am primarily interested in Medellin, Cartegena and the carribean coast. I'd like to use a tour company for part of this trip, then go solo after that. I have traveled to other countries only to end up stuck in an unfamiliar place with little info on what is there or how to get around, so i'd like to avoid this problem on this trip. My primary reason for this trip is for future retirement purposes but having fun comes in a close second. Can anybody give me names of good tour companies, or other ways i can get the most out of this trip. I can stay much longer than two weeks if that is necessary to get a good feel of what this area is like. thanks for your help.
